The 2010 Census represented the most researched and most successful outreach campaign in recent advertising history. Tasked with targeting the hardest-to-count, GlobalHue’s multicultural spots were effectively implemented and expanded into mainstream media.

Chief among the challenges were deeply held fears within these targets of sharing personal information with government agencies. GlobalHue created messaging that addressed those fears and actually reversed them. The resulting and award-winning “It's In Our Hands” campaign accomplished this by bringing into plain sight the importance of being counted and the empowerment it results in.

The campaign was so effective that GlobalHue was asked to adapt the campaign for use in the general market. As of the most recent count, the 2010 Census received a record participation for all Americans, along with exceptionally high numbers for the “hardest to count.”
